Unpredictable jury awards and increasing lawsuits are forcing many Tennessee physicians to retire early, close their practices or cut back on available services, impacting healthcare access for Tennessee patients.

Remember: ALL politics is local and in politics, perception is reality.

Help Us Alert Legislators to Your Problem
Our strategy is to provide Lawmakers actual stories of how the state’s medical liability climate in affecting patients and access to healthcare across Tennessee. The more stories we can distribute to legislators, the more they will see that everyone is being affected by this problem.

We Need Your Stories If:
1) You are a physician or know a physician who has closed their practice, moved out of state, retired early, discontinued certain high-risk services, or if you know of hospitals that don’t have adequate physician supply or ER services and must send patients elsewhere or are having to see patients from distant locations due to lack of a physician in their own community; or

2) You are a patient or know a patient who has experienced unnecessary disruptions in your personal medical care such as delays in appointments, availability of services convenient to your home, had to drive long distances to find a physician or have had to change doctors due to your physician closing or moving the practice;
